Dr. George Hoffman serves as Anesthesiologist-in-Chief for Children’s Wisconsin, Professor of Anesthesia at MCW, and the James S. Tweddle Chair of Clinical Cardiac Research. Since 1980, he has dedicated his career to caring for the children of our community. His renowned work ethic, extraordinary depth of knowledge, and lasting contributions to the field of congenital heart disease are unmatched. When Dr. Hoffman is involved in a child’s care, families have complete confidence that their child is receiving the very best.

The Dr. George Hoffman Superhero Award was established to honor Dr. Hoffman and others who embody these same exceptional qualities. This award recognizes truly outstanding individuals who are making—or have made—extraordinary contributions to pediatric healthcare through excellence in patient care, education, or research.
